Travel along trail #4 and eventually you will come to the Wilson Monument. Here you will find an upright stone with some carving on it in a 10 by 10 wrought iron enclosure and a plaque giving the details. The grist mill is powered by water that comes from Hamer Cave. This dam holds water back and allows some of it to be funneled down an aqueduct to the mill wheel. The water was cold and clear and the cave was just above this dam. Viewed: 408 times.
